Applications
Gear and joint parts, gears, crown and bevel gears, shafts, bolts, pins of larger dimensions and similar parts for higher core strength
Heat Treatment
Soft annealing takes place at a temperature of 650 - 700 C°
Tempering takes place at a temperature of 170 - 210 C°
Case hardening takes place at a temperature of 900 - 950 C°
Single hardening takes place at a temperature of 850 - 880 C°
Weldability
1.7147 is usually weldable.
