High-temperature resisting steel and alloy
The material 1.4961 is a austenitic stainless steel and is additonally alloyed with niobium. Niobium is used to stabilize, thus the material has a very good resistance to intergranular corrosion. Furthermore, the material also hot hard and therfore often find application in heat exchangers and turbine construction.
